What is a Favicon?
You must have noticed if you added jennifer-mysteries.com to your favourites or on the browser address, there's one icon like that:

How to make a favicon?
You would first have to make a 16x16 extention graphic with not more than 16 colors using any graphic programme (you can even make it in MS paint as it is not a very big graphic if you don't have any other paint pro). Save it in .bmp extention.
Now, you have to change it in .ico form. I did it by using Irfanview. Click here to download the current version of it for free. Just save it in .ico form.
Your faviocon is created.
How to put it on your site?
As big this question seems, its that easy to get this favicon is action. You first have to find a host that can upload .ico files. I simply did it by hosting it from jennifer-mysteries.com; I think that any google group would allow you to upload .ico extention or if you have a freewebs account, you can host it using that.
Now, to put it on your site, paste the following code to the <head> tag of your page:
<link rel="SHORTCUT ICON" href="URL TO YOUR FAVICON GRAPHIC">
That is it! You just made a favicon and added it to your site!
