Ch. 1: The S.J.A calls

It was bright summer day and the sun's rays were spread everywhere. Jennifer Phantan, now a S.J.A (Spy Jet Agency) member, was with her two best friends, Kristine and Kristie Sanchez in the school hallway, who were preparing for their next class.

"Seriously, the school is getting boring day by day! I wish we had some - some excitement!" Jennifer exclaimed. "Yeah, school's become a bore, especially our next literature class, why can't they arrange some trip for us?" Kristine asked her friends. They both shrugged their shoulders. "Now bye, you guys still have literature, but me - computer class, even boring! See you later", Kristie, Kristine's younger sister left for her next class.

Jennifer and Kristine grabbed two desks next to each other just a minute before their literature teacher, Ms. Marchia walked in.

"Good morning students", she greeted. "Ok, now, please take out your book on page number 167."

"Now, this chapter is about a small girl who..." Ms. Marchia explained but almost everyone in the class was sleeping!

Finally, the bell rang and the students moved out of the class as if they were released from a prison after years!

The two friends, once again, united with Kristie.

"Finally! Out of that computer virus!" Kristie exclaimed. "Yeah, the literature class was so damn boring", Jennifer said. "You said it!", before Kristine could complete, she was interrupted by Jennifer's ringing phone. "Excuse me", she said.

"Hello?" Jennifer said.

"Hello, may I talk to Jennifer Phantan?" a male voice asked.

"Speaking..."

"Oh! Jenny, this is Jared. You're called at the S.J.A, there's some mystery waiting for you and yeah, bring Kristine and Kristie along", Jared said.

"Ok, I'll be right there."

"Cool, I'm just outside the school, want a lift?"

Jennifer chuckled. "Sure, see you!"

"Who was that?" Kristine asked. "Jared, he said that we've got to reach the S.J.A, some mystery has come up", Jennifer said, heading towards the school gate along with her friends.

As soon as they were out, they noticed Jared with his taxi, waiting for them.

"Hey, hop in, we're already late", he said. "What happened that I had to leave my classes?" Jennifer asked once the taxi had started moving. "I don't know, I wasn't told either, just dad told me to call you to the S.J.A office", Jared replied. "Is it urgent?" Kristine asked. "Duh! If it wouldn't be urgent, why would we be called in the middle of the school?" Kristie growled at her sister.

In almost twenty five minutes, the four friends reached the S.J.A head office.

They passed through the same small garden they had passed last time, through the hallway and then, inside the head office where Mr. Decare Levier, chairman of the S.J.A and also Jared's father was waiting.

"Hello Ms. Phantan", he greeted. "Hello - sir, may I know why I - I mean, we were called?" Jennifer asked. "An important mystery has come up, have a seat, I'll explain you", Decare said as Jennifer and the others sat. "Do you know about Crystal Sandy?" "You mean CRYSTAL SANDY??!! The super star! Isn't she shooting for a movie?" Jennifer asked. "Correction please, she was shooting for the 'The Alien Spot'", Jared said. "Was? Did she quit?" Kristine asked. "Yeah! There are some rumors..." Jared continued but was interrupted by his father. "Let me complete it. She claims that she saw a real 'alien' which forced her to leave the movie else she would be dead, not only her, but who so ever would act at her place would be - dead", Mr. Decare said. "That's stupid!" Jennifer exclaimed. "She must have had some problem and made up this story!" "I don't know, many people at the crew say that they've seen some unique creatures", Jared said. "So, what do you think, Ms. Phantan?" Decare asked. "I'll take the case!" Jennifer said.

"Cool then, want me to drive you to the set?" Jared asked. "Surely, Kristine, Kristie, you in?" Jennifer asked her two friends who were shivering with fear after hearing the story. "I - I'm not sure", Kristine said. "C'mon you people, there are obviously no such thing as aliens!" Jennifer scolded. "I assure you." "O - ok, if y - you say so", Kristine said, still shivering.

In half an hour or so, the four friends reached the movie set.

"Oh my goodness! This set is hhhhuuuuuggggeeee!" Kristie looked at the huge place. "Yeah, they say it's a big budget film and...", before Jared could utter a single word, they heard angry shouting male voice, later they discovered that it was the director of the film, Kevin Brianne talking to the famous actress, Crystal Sandy.

"This is ridiculous! I'm doomed! Now where do I find another actress from?" he shouted at Crystal. "I don't care, find her from hell, but I'm going!" she shouted at him, even louder. "Hey you! You cannot leave, you've signed a contract, I will sue you, I will put you in the prison I will - ", Kevin said but was interrupted by the angry actress. "Try and even touch me, I don't want to mess with aliens, you want to, then I don't care, go to hell!" the frowning actress retreated.

Just then, Jennifer and the other entered.

"Who are you now?" the director asked coldly. "Em - I am Jennifer Phantan, from the S.J.A", she said. "Ha! I thought that S.J.A was a matured spy company, but I was wrong", he continued. "It has a bunch of stupid growing teenagers!" "Mind your language, mister", Jared frowned. "Sir, do you want us to investigate or not?" Jennifer asked. "Do whatever you want, just leave me alone", Kevin left rudely.

"He's such a cold hearted person", Kristie said. "And rude", Jared added. "Anyways, let's start the investigation", Jennifer said and moved around the place.

"I can't believe I'm investigating for such a big MOVIE case!" Kristie exclaimed. "You said it", Jennifer said. Again, the four friends heard the director shouting at some other person in the hallway.

"... I don't know what you do; just get me an actress from anywhere!" Kevin screamed. "It's easy to say, actress do not grow on trees!" the other man exclaimed. "Ugh! What shall I do now?" Kevin Brianne asked himself.

Just then, Jennifer and the others stepped in.

"Sir, any problem?" Jennifer asked. "Ye - oooh! What's your name again?" Kevin asked, this time observing Jennifer closely. "Em - Jennifer Phantan", she said. "Yes, yes! You're perfect, hm... Just a little make-up and you're ready!" he exclaimed. "I'm sorry, but what are you saying, sir?" Jennifer asked. "You're going to work for my film", Kevin said, dialing some phone number on his cell and telling a man to see him in a minute.

Ch. 2: Camera, roll, ALIENS!

"Em - sir, how can I act, I'm not a professional", Jennifer said. "I don't care, I need an actress and you're pretty good for the role", Kevin said. "Sir but -", Jennifer stopped. "A few thousand bucks will be your salary, or do you want more?" he asked. Jennifer was stunned. Its a big amount for a person like me, should I - accept it?, Jennifer thought. "Take your time, here's my card, call me when you're positive", he said, handing a peace of paper to Jennifer.

"What do you think about it, Jenny?" Jared asked. "I don't know, it's a really big amount and you remember what your dad said? That if anyone plays that actress role, she will be dead", Jennifer said. "I thought you didn't believe in aliens", Kristie said. "I don't but..." Jennifer paused to think harder. "Ha! I guess I'll take it." "Great then!" Kristie said. "Be right back, I've got to inform that director then", Jennifer said.

"Excuse-me, Mr. Kevin, I thought about the movie thing and I guess I'll - take it", Jennifer said. "Oh, cool then, you start from today", he said. "Today??!!" Jennifer exclaimed. "Any problem?" Kevin asked. "Ye - I mean, no", she said. "Great then, move to the make-up room first and yeah, here are your dialogues", he said, giving Jennifer a paper with a few scribbles on it.

"My best friend is a movie star!!!!!!!!" Kristine exclaimed as Jennifer re-entered. "This is tough, acting is not easy... these dialogues, ugh! What should I do?" Jennifer asked. "Move to the make-up room", a female voice came from the back.

"Hello, I am Rebecca McKay. I am an assistant here", the lady said, she had long brown hair with fair skin and deep blue eyes. She had very sharp features and was very pretty in personality. "If I'm not wrong, you're Jennifer Phantan, our new actress?" Rebecca asked. "Yes", Jennifer replied. "And these are my friends, Kristine, Kristie and Jared. "You're expected in the make-up room, to the right, please", she said. "Oh, em - thanks", Jennifer said, moving to the direction Rebecca had showed.

"Rebecca sure is pretty, she can be an actress too!" Kristine exclaimed.

After a few minutes, Jennifer showed up.

"There is my actress!" Kevin exclaimed, moving towards Jennifer. "Learned your lines?" "Almost..." Jennifer continued. "When does this stuff end?" "As soon as the part 1 shot completes, that is I guess, 2-3 lines?" asked. "Correct", Jennifer smiled.

"Ok, camera, roll, and... action!" the director, Kevin, said. Jennifer came a few steps forward.

"Oh lord! Why are you doing this, why did you make me so pretty that the aliens are attracted by me?" Jennifer shouted her lines. Such a stupid dialogue!, Jennifer thought. Just then, using special effects, a green light appeared and a fake spaceship landed.

"C-o-m-e w-i-t-h u-s i-f y-o-u w-a-n-t y-o-u-r g-o-od", a unique creature spoke in a weird accent. "Cut!", the director shouted. "What are you doing, these are not your lines, alien guy! Your lines are 'You are going to be destroyed if you don't give yourself to the Martians!" "W-e a-r-e n-o-t y-o-u-r a-c-t-o-r-s", the guy said.

Just then, a few more people came out from backstage which were dressed the same as the people on the set.

"They are real aliens!", a guy shouted. "They locked us down!" Jennifer immediately backed off the set and to her friends.

"What's going on?", Jennifer whispered to Jared. "No idea...", he replied.

"Hold on you people, may I just know what on earth is going on?", Jared shouted out loud. "Don't you get it? They are real!", they guy shouted from the backstage.

Suddenly, there was panic all over the set. People were running everywhere. The gates were ordered to be opened and in a few minutes, everyone was outside, including Jennifer, Jared, Kristine and Kristie.

Instantly, Jared got his taxi on the road and the girls got in.

"Jenny, I think you should quit, we did see the aliens!", Kristine exclaimed. "I doubt it", Jennifer said. "Do the aliens really speak English?" "Hm... maybe they are English student aliens, you get it? English - student - alien? Hahaha", Kristine laughed. "This is so not funny", Jennifer scolded. "I think someone is trying to scare us away." "Yeah, that is declared but who?", Jared asked. "Who can do such a thing?" "Jared, move the car to Crystal Sandy's home", Jennifer ordered.

The four friends took about forty to fifty minutes to reach the renowned actress' glorious palace.

Jennifer rung the bell and she was answered by Crystal herself.

"May I help you?", she asked. "A - em, I am Jennifer Phantan, S.J.A - on the set, remember?", she said. "Yeah, you kids. What are you doing here?", Crystal asked. "Em - ma'am, may we just know if you ever had an enemy, some fights who would like to destroy you?", Jennifer interrogated. "Come-in", Crystal said.

After making themselves comfortable, Jennifer continued her interrogation.

"So ma'am, were you saying something?", she asked. "Yes", Crystal replied. "The only reason why I let you in was to doom Kevin." "Kevin? The director?", Kristine asked. "Yes, I mean, what does he think of himself? I am not that kind of girl who can risk her life to earn a few bucks!", she exclaimed. "Em - ma'am, will you please explain?", Kristie asked.

"As far as I know, Kevin is a very mean guy, he doesn't care of anything but himself and his idiotic films!", she exclaimed. "Em - what do you mean by that, Ms. Sandy?", Jennifer questioned. Crystal let out a big sigh. "He pulled me into this film without even informing about the danger I was going to put my life in! He knew all about the alien thing and just to make is lame film successful, he hired me and I don't know why on earth did I agree with him", she frowned. "Later I came to know that the aliens are trying to remove any actress which acts in this film, you won't believe what he said to me after that, 'Crystal, c'mon, you're getting enough money to do all this', what does he think? How can he even think that money can buy me!?" "Em - ma'am, if that is what Mr. Kevin said, did he really try to say what you're thinki-", before Jared could complete, Crystal interrupted. "What do you mean, he obviously meant that! You boys are the same, insensitive, please leave - NOW!", she ordered before tears fell off her eyes.

Ch. 3: Weird Clues

"What a weird lady she is!", Jared exclaimed once they were out. "A - Jared, I think you asked a personal question", Jennifer said. Jared let out a 'not happy' laugh. "You must be kidding." "Ok people, we better not argue on this, any idea what we're going to do next?", Kristie asked. Jennifer shook her head. "We can't do anything until we discover some clues, till now, I can't say that who can be there suspect or what but maybe - ", Jennifer stopped. "Crystal Sandy?", Jared completed. "Yeah, I mean to say she is so over Kevin, she kind of hates him", said Jennifer. "Yes, she would do anything to let that director down", Kristine added. "So, what do you say, Jenny?", Kristie asked. Jennifer took out a paper and a pen from her purple purse and wrote:

1. Crystal Sandy: For disliking Kevin, the director of the Movie, 'The Alien Spot'.

"So, Crystal did end up in your suspect list?", Jared chuckled. "Yeah, her behavior is something like - suspicious!", she exclaimed. "Well, its kind of late, you mind if I drop you guys?", Jared asked. "Yeah, sure and thanks", Jennifer smiled.

In a few minutes, after dropping Kristine and Kristie, Jared reached Jennifer's house and after waving her a goodbye, she united with her mother, Mrs. Phantan.

"Hi sweetheart, how was the day?", she asked. "Boring, mum!", Jennifer replied. "Anything wrong?", her mother asked. Jennifer sighed. "Stuck in a case." "Oh well, isn't that a good think, your first official mystery from The Spy Jet Agency?" she asked. "Yeah but it's kind of - tricky", Jennifer said. "Don't worry honey, go and change, have your dinner and sleep well, tomorrow will be a whole new fresh day to work", Mrs. Phantan told her daughter. Jennifer headed towards the stairway and just when she was half way to her room, she shouted, "Mum! Forgot to tell you, I'm working for a film, well, actually I was dragged in it." Mrs. Phantan's eyes widened. "Jenny? You sure you want to go in the film thing?" she asked. "Tell you

later", Jennifer said.

The next day, as Mrs. Phantan had said, was a fresh day, the sun was shining brightly and Jennifer was ready to leave for the school.

In the school hallway, she united with her two best friends, Kristine and Kristie Sanchez and also, Jared, her boyfriend.

"So, any clues for the case?", Kristie asked. "Nah!", Jennifer exclaimed. "What do you guys think we should do next?" "No idea, maybe when we go back to the set we can discover something", Jared said. "Ok, if you say so", Jennifer said. So after the Science class, the four friends headed towards the film set.

There they saw Rebecca McKay, the assistant of the film director. "Hello, You're Jennifer Phantan and her friends, right? We've met before", she smiled. "We sure have", Kristine smiled back. "Anything that I can do for you?" Rebecca asked. "We just wanted to search here a bit, you know, we're from the S.J.A, we're here to investigate", Jennifer said. There was a weird expression on Rebecca's face.

"You're from the S.J.A!?" she shouted. "Oh yeah, I'm sorry, we hadn't introduced ourselves before properly", Jennifer said. "Any problem with that?" "Of course not, you can search anywhere you want", she said and then left. Weird…, Jennifer thought.

The four then moved on to the hallway.

"So, any suggestions where we should search first?" Kristine asked. "Well, I don't really know but I have my full suspicion on Crystal Sandy, she's damn weird, even that Rebecca, you saw her face when we said that we're from the S.J.A?", Kristine asked. "Nah! I think you guys are thinking stupid, Rebecca and the culprit, I don't think that she even knows about this case properly!", Jennifer exclaimed. "And Crystal Sandy?" Jared asked. "Well, she sure is a big hater of Kevin", Jennifer said. "And she's already in my suspect list, so we'll get back to her later." "Guys, where is Kristie?" Kristine asked. "I-I don't know, she was here a moment ago!" Jared said. "Over here!!" a voice shouted, much like Kristie's.

And it was Kristie who was peeping through a window which was designed for the film set.

"What on earth are you doing here? You scared us!" Kristine shouted. "Sorry, look over here, paint, that too green!" Kristie said. "So, how does it count?" Jared said. Jared and Kristine had a confused face but Jennifer had a smile on her face. What was it?
